ESSA provides you with the practical tools to be the driving force that empowers current and future software professionals to stay ahead of the challenges of the sector.

Skill, upskill, and reskill individuals

We spent a year researching and asking experts and software professionals about software skills. What are the skills in high demand? What do individuals need to succeed in a professional software role? Our findings led to developing a Software Skills Strategy and, soon, educational profiles. The VET curricula and programmes we are designing will bring concrete solutions to educate for software-related jobs.

Educating for jobs

We know how challenging it can be to keep programmes up to date. Our job is to offer you ready-to-unroll programmes. It will be fit to train people for professional software roles. On top of that, we are also working on certification and accreditation frameworks, and an EU mobility programme. One step at a time.

Stronger together

We believe that together we are stronger. Obviously, it is harder to reach any achievement when working in silos. That's why we want to open your opportunities by nurturing a practice-oriented community so you can connect with your peers and also with people from the larger software communities in Europe.
